Greetings, Mr. Simmons,

I am a long-time fan of both KISS and the Jon Sable graphic novel/comic series from the 80's, and only recently found out that you had done an entire pilot movie for the Jon Sable character, back in the day.

Is there any way that this film might still see the light of day?

I know I am not alone in hoping this could be so.

Best Regards,
~Jordan Avon Moller

Response from Gene:

I did indeed develop JON SABLE as a movie. It was sold to Intermedia, which funded a script. I got Steven DeSouza, who had written TERMINATOR among other movies, to write the script. Unfortunately, like most scripts, it never got made. But, never say never.

Hello Mr. Simmons,

I watched the Raw & Uncut episode of Family Jewels last night and was blown away by Sophie's song with Tinee rapping.
Her voice gave my wife and I chills, and I can't get the song out of my head. I have watched the last part of the show about a dozen times just to hear it.
She's going to be HUGE!
Does she have any music available to purchase or download?
I was unable to locate anything on iTunes.
Thank You so much for your time,
Kurt & Wendy Ventimiglia

Gawd!

I hate the word KUDOS ! Ten years ago people did not use the word KUDOS in a sentence. What gives? Maybe they think you will spell Kudos with the Kiss "K" and "S" ?

A week ago someone had the brilliant idea trying to get you involved in a dish washing business where people mail in their dirty plates and they get them back clean the next business day. That was a GREAT idea and that man has the BIG IDEA. When I told friends and family about the dish washing idea, they were ready to have me committed. They don't see the entire picture. This is a great concept and Americans love to spend money on products and services that they could do themselves but are too lazy to do. Hell, I pay a service $8.00 a week to clean up dog poop from my yard. Yes, I do have dogs.

The dish washing idea would be even better if you tell the customer that they have to rinse off their plates before shipping.

Response from Gene:

   Uh....no.

Hello Gene and Shannon,

I've been watching your show Family Jewels and was really impressed by how well developed your kids behavior is. The one episode that really floored me and impressed me with your son was, when he and chip got the car towed for parking in a no parking zone. The comment he made to chip about how if he had you fix the car being towed that losing the car is one thing but losing your respect is something he could ever regain, is what impressed me. I'm not easily impressed by people but he impressed me more then anyone else has in my life when i heard that. To have your child respect and love you so much that your respect is the most important thing to him was heart warming. Which made me realize what great parenting skills you and shannon have. I love my kids and I wish they grow up as well rounded as you have taught yours. I come from a dysfunctional family life which makes it harder to have good parenting skills, but I try my best as a parent. It would be easier with a guide book from someone who's a realistic person and not someone who's just a college graduate in psychology. I've noticed just because someone has a degree in something doesn't mean they're smart enough to do the job efficiently. I'm a company owner and with my hectic hours and work travel at the same time trying to manage being a good parent is difficult. Your families values are amazing, and given me an idea.
I was wondering have you and shannon ever thought about writing a book together about parenting skills or tips. How great your kids seem to behave shows that you two have a great gift of parenting. I don't think there is anyone better to write a book like that then you two. Having a hectic business schedules and still having to apply good parenting skills isn't easy, but you two had to have done it right with how your kids behave and their personalities reflects how wonderful you parenting skills are. That would be a book I would defiantly buy as I'm sure a lot of other people and parents would too. I'm not asking for anything as far as anything financial just if you ever decide to writing a book like to let me know so I can go buy a copy. I'm a truck driver and have started my own heavy haul company so I rarely can keep up to date with new events on any of my interests other then trucking. So if you do decide to write it and let me know that would be great if not i understand that to because I know what it is like having a busy schedule.

Thank you for your time. Sincerely,
Rachel Smith

Dear Gene,

My wife and I are faithful watchers of the "Family Jewels" show.

Tonight, I saw the show which featured Sophie singing. I know that it is hard for you to trust those around you to tell you the truth, in things like this, just because of who you are. It is also hard to trust yourself, because everyone thinks that their child is talented.

However, in this case, you would be right on the money. Sophie's voice and the heart that she puts into singing are incredible. Also, the song that she chose, suited her perfectly. I hope that you will keep her as your client, because, judging from what I've seen on "Family Jewels", you are one of the best promoters, since P. T. Barnum

I know that you will, but I just have to say, encourage her to sing. Neither of you will ever regret it.

Again, my wife and I really enjoy your show and tell Shannon, your Mom, Sophie, and Nick thanks as well.

Away from your T. V. show, I'd like to tell you that I have enjoyed your music since 1974, when friends of mine and I used to sneak around to listen to it. (I was only 14.)

Just wanted to let you know these few things and wish you continued success.

Sincerely,
Charles Y. Avent, Jr.

HELLO Mr. Simmons

My name is Carlos Chavez, I never saw your shows or listen to your music because as a Mexican in the 60’s and 70’s our parents were very extricted
While I live in mexico city. in 1985  I moved to the united states after many years in this country I opened my first Mexican restaurant in Atlanta Georgia since you started your show due to my crazy schedule I can’t see your show.
But my wife record it for me I can imagine that one day I was going to be one of yours biggest fan but not in the music field. Your been such an inspiration for me and my family in the bussines side.
In my line of work, I had always dream of a organic piano bar type of restaurant whith a great touch of indulgence in the pastry part of the restaurant since I saw your participation on the apprentice my mind is been flying with the concept of HYDRA CONTEPORARY AMERICAN BISTRO well I think is a great name and the concept will unique. An spectacular since I would like for you to be part of this dream been a Mexican you may think what a crazy idea but I belive as you said DREAM BIG.
My intentions are to be able to explain this idea to you , I don’t think you will be desapointed on the idea to be part of restaurant concept that can be launch in every state and even been international
Once again my name is Carlos Chavez, I’m 48 years old,I live in Smyrna Ga. married two kids. Once again thank you for been agreat inspiration to many of us I know you have such a busy schedule but like for you to consider to read this e mail thak you and keep roking

Gracias EUGENIO !!!

Response from Gene:

   Let's do this again.
Thank you for the kind words and good luck in your ventures.
But re your idea: Who pays for it. Who pays me. Who does the due diligence. Who markets, manufactures, advertises, markets. You? Have you ever done this. Do you have qualifications. Do you have the funds (money).
   Me? That will never happen.
   You must do it yourself.
   Good luck.

The songs Sophie has sung on Gene Simmons Family Jewels are written by who?? I know one you wrote, but what about the most recent one? Do you write anything together?

Your right...education first, including college, the entertainment business is too risky not to have a back up career, or two, three......you can never make enough money.

Response from Gene:

TAKE ME AWAY was written by Wendy Ip, a singer songwriter from New York.

Gene,

This is not really a question, however I admire the entrepenuer that you are and I know that its all about the money, so I had an idea for you mabye youll just laugh or mabye take it into consideration. I was thinking of a hair product line, I have always noticed in the show that your hair is never out of place. I was thinking you could name it Genie in a bottle.
Slogan: Your hair couldnt wish for a better look. Anyhow I hope you dont find this suggestion to silly, I just wanted to throw a new idea at you. I have had several of my own ideas for myself, but I just havent had the courage to pursue them, everyone has always made me feel silly, whenever I brought up any such ideas. I hope you receive this email and dont find it that Im being stupid or something. Also I love Family Jewels and tell your family I wish them the best as well. God Bless, Bill Maple.

Response from Gene:

   Ok.
I'm sure your idea strikes you as an epiphany, but kindly consider the following:
What are the ingredients of the product. What is the price of goods. What is the price of wholesale vs retail. And, who pays for the manufacturing, distribution, advertising and marketing. And, how do you get shelf space in stores, when the big brands most often try to keep new products from coming on the market.
   Ideas mean next to nothing.

Mr.Gene Simmons,

Sophie Tweed Simmons has a wonderful voice and is a natural beauty.
To be honest I pity any potential suitors, intend it or not, they have a huge shadow to stand in.
Miss Sophie Tweed Simmons has also said on the show "...if you think I'm leaving this house your crazy!"
Gee no pressure there for the new Boy Friend!
I fully agree with your thoughts on this wonderful young lady finishing her education before continuing any career pursuits.
Still, there is no reason that you and Miss Sophie Tweed Simmons can not frequent the studio when schedules permit and assemble enough material that Miss Sophie Tweed Simmons' recorded work can be released at some future point.
With any luck a secure method for releasing recorded product will present itself.

I wonder if releasing the product online through someone like the Apple Store in a scrambled format that will only play on the original purchasers authorized computers/iPods might be something to check into?

BTW,
my new web page is up for my newest venture into the business world...
with a lot of hard work, I should be making money shortly!!
