Gene,

On Monday, August 13, 2007 on ABC Family an episode of "Full House" aired from
12:30 pm - 1:00 pm and at the end of the show, John Stamos and the boys were playing a polka version of "Rock and roll all night" at a party.

Just wondering if you ever saw that episode. The episode revolved around Danny's daughter dating someone name "Viper".

thanks for hearing me out

Response from Gene:

Already on it. Look into TURKS & CAICOS ISLAND NATION....we featured it on our GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS show and I will be doing business there.,

Dear Gene,

Love your show in all its "gory."
Please marry Shannon.
Perhaps when you next say, " . . . been there, done that," you can amend it to "been there, done that, bought that tee shirt," --a perfect prompt to show off your latest Gene Simmons tee shirt.

All the best,
Cirqueperk

Response from Gene:

No.

Gene,

Why do you think so many creative and talented people such as musicians continue to follow the well worn path of self-destruction through drugs and alcohol? For those of us who choose not to treat our lives as such disposable commodities, it is very difficult to understand. I am sorry to say that I do not buy the "pressures of fame" argument. We all have pressures in life, and although we all have different constitutions and strengths, to turn to either drugs or alcohol as a solution or distraction to those pressures makes no sense whatsoever, on any level.

Lately, the extremely talented young British jazz musician Amy Winehouse seems to be choosing this path to destruction:

If you were to have a private conversation with her, what would you say to her that might make a difference?

Gavin.

Response from Gene:

I would say "Good luck." Everyone's a grown-up and baby-sitting is over. Sooner than later, there will be a price to pay. As I said, "Good luck."

I went into MacDonalds yesterday and said "I'd like some fries".
The girl at the counter said "Would you like some fries with that".

I am hooked on the Simmons Family tv show. The "kids" are fantastic, love Shannon - and I think Gene better get his act together and marry Shannon.
I actually had some tears rolling because of his son saying that the kids are "bastards". If Gene loves Shannon - what is the problem with tying the knot and sharing with Shannon such a precious commitment.
No, you don't HAVE to get married to love one another - but it is a traditional, emotional, and shows true commitment.
Gene and Shannon and the "kids" - unless it's just for show.....and I don't think it is - there is true love there.
I love the show because it oozes with affection, love, caring. As for Gene's outside activities - well, not too crazy about the boobs and all. I have a hard time seeing him going to these functions and wonder how Shannon handles it.
You are one lucky guy, Gene.
Don't screw it up!

God is always watching over

Response from Gene:

Thanks for the kind words, but re screwing it up....I'll be fine...and as regards "always remember, God is watching us"...I hope you're right...but you don't know....no one does.

Gene,

I was just sitting here at work and was thinking about the episode of Family Jewels where you came up with the name Chrome for Nicks band. I don't know if Nick is interested in other people ideas for the band name, but as I was sitting here I thought of the coolest name!

Sikk  as in sick but also the name play on the the greatest band ever!

Anyway I bet you have heard it before, but if not I am pleased to present the idea.

If you get the chance, let me know what you think of it,

Best Regards,

Parry

Response from Gene:

Poor.

Hello,

I just watched some of the video clips from the show on the A & E site and the one in particular titled "Skinny Girls" gave me a much needed laugh today along with me nodding my head in agreement with you.
Although, I have to wonder how true your statements were given that I see some women in dire need of a sandwich or two in the Ladies in Waiting section-Do you pick those pictures yourself for posting?

Your TV show is very easy to watch and enjoy. No stream of obscenities coming from everyone constantly, no outrageous brat behavior from your children, and your relationship with Shannon seems to work well for the both of you. All this and you live in California-as a Native NY'er I would have never thought such a thing possible out there ; )

I am not going to say I have been a long time fan or anything of KISS or you personally. Even though I think I listen to a pretty broad range of music, I think I may even have only known one of your band's songs and until recently did not even know it was from your group. (It is a cool one though)

Now knowing that you like footie pj's too makes me a fan though. Pay no attention to Nick and Sofie's teasing-they are just secretly jealous that they can't rock them as well as we do : P
Seriously though, to see a rock & roll musician who seems to abhor drugs and especially smoking as much as I do was a genuine surprise and will keep me watching the show whenever I can.

Keep on doing what you have been doing-if it ain't broke....you know the rest : )

D.M.

Gene-

After watching your series, I see you are much different than I thought.  When I was in Grad School at Notre Dame in the late 80’s, my golf buddies listened to KISS tunes incessantly.  Thus, I became hooked on Kiss music as well, but never gave any thought to the band members or their lifestyles. My golf buddies were huge cokeheads, but I luckily stayed away from that. I understand you don’t drink or do any drugs, which I respect but it also must have required huge discipline back in the day. I think you are a pretty smart guy for whatever that’s worth, love your family, love the USA, and are way more than the band KISS. I respect your episode(s) dedicated to VETS, I was a young Air Force officer in Desert Storm.  Anyways, have you always been this way…or did it sneak up on you (or hit you square in the face) after having a family and realizing there is much more to life? I just turned 40 recently and have realized many things in the past few years. Probably I’m not the first to ask, but figured I’d throw this out there. v/r Craig

Response from Gene:

I've been who I am since I was 7 years old. Up till that time, I thought life owed me everything. Then my father walked out on us (not necessarily an uncommon event) and then I woke up to the fact that if I didn't do things for myself, no one would do them for me. And, it was up to me to make myself miserable or happy.

Dearest Gene

Yep..... KISS is EVERYWHERE..... someone had General Hospital on TV in the breakroom at work the other day.... Rick Springfield's character Dr. Noah Drake was telling everyone he was going to be a rock star and call himself 'Dr. Love'.....but we both know there is only one 'Dr. Love'.... YOU!! : ]

Love and KISSes
Kelli

Hi Gene,

I find funny that a large number people claim to be "huge fans" of yours yet suggest business ideas that you have already done. One person mentioned the tooth brush that plays Kiss music, another suggested a bikini car wash, someone else said you should play the Super Bowl and on and on it goes. This is just a small sampling of the things that so called "fans" have mentioned. If they were really fans they would know that you have done these and thousands more.
I have recently decided to take a more Gene Simmons like approach to my music business and personal life and some good things are starting to happen.

Also, I'm tired of people telling you and others how to live their lives. You seem to get countless letters suggesting that you get married, change your personal views, etc. I suspect that many of these people are jealous and would trade places with you if they could. Maybe if they spent more time working on their own lives rather than worrying about yours or someone elses, they could achieve a higher level of success than they have.

Response from Gene:

Well said.
