Here'sa picture of my 4 year-old from Halloween. He got turned on to KISS watching the Kissology DVD a couple of months ago and is hooked! When I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween, he said, without hesitation, "GENE SIMMONS!" Another generation of KISS fans!
Rock on!

My 3 year old daughter Delaney dressed up as Gene Simmons for Halloween. She has an extremely long tongue and when she was a baby, I taught her how to stick out her tongue and put up her fingers in the rock on sign. Since she was turning 3 a couple of days before Halloween, I thought this year she would be able to sit through the hair and make up part of the costume. I asked her what she wanted to be for Halloween this year, and she kept telling me "a Scary Guy." I pulled up some pictures of Gene in costume on the internet, and asked her if she liked it. She was so excited about it. I told her what his name was, and the band he was in. She has also watched the TV show with me. When people started asking her what she wanted to be for Halloween, I'm sure they were expecting her to say a Princess, or something of that nature being that she is your typical toddler girl. I can only say that the look on their faces when she replied "Gene Simmons from KISS" was priceless! Then she would stick out her tongue and put her fingers up, they would just laugh! I think they were in shock not only that she knew who he was, but that she wanted to dress up like him! Especially a toddler girl!!!
There isn't exactly a market for KISS costumes for toddlers, so I had to get creative with putting her costume together. I was especially proud of the codpiece I put created. It was my son's jockstrap and cup that I wrapped in tin foil and electrical tape. The silver strap across her chest was made from a car sunshade that I cut up and a key ring to wrap it through. I stapled all of it together to hold it in place.
Halloween night she was the hit of the neighborhood! Strangers were taking her picture, she got a lot of extra candy when she did the signature Gene facial expression. One guy was a KISS fan and was so excited to see a little girl dressed up as Gene, he ran home to get his camera and waited for her to come trick or treating at his door! He took pictures of her doing all of her "moves" and he gave her an entire bowl of candy. When other people would answer their doors, they took one look at Delaney and would yell for everybody else in their house to "come check this out!" They would all gather around the door to watch her perform. As she walked from house to house, she was strutting her stuff and people would high-five her as she walked by. I can only say it was quite an experience!
People kept telling me to send these pictures in to you. I thought you might appreciate that you have pint sized fans as well! I am sending a before picture of her so you can really appreciate how much she transformed!

Not really a question, but I just wanted to show Gene what my 5 year old daughter dressed up as for halloween. I think he'd get a kick out of it.

Our 7 year old daughter Kamryn chose to dress like you for Halloween, of course I was all for it. We had a blast and everyone loved it! She carried a guitar case as her treat bag and we had one of those musical cards taped inside, so that when she opened it it played "Rock & Roll All Night". It was a hit as well!

Just recently read Gene Simmons' SEX MONEY KISS. Excellent book!!! What a workaholic Gene is! Only goes to show us all that hard work and money goes hand in hand. It is obvious Gene teaches his children the same values... you want something you work for it. I also recently got a second Gene Simmons/Demon tattoo. KISS will continue to be my #1 band KEEP ROCKING! Many thanks to Gene for the inspiration to succeed and many thanks to the guys at Unga Bunga for keeping me in supply of Gene. Linda Haile KISS RULES!!!!
