Dear Gene,
Attached please find an image of today's opening page when you log onto America Online. You're everywhere!
All the best,

Hi Gene,
You might want to check out Bruce Springsteen's opening track to his new album. It's called Outlaw Pete and it's got an "I was made for lovin' you" feel. Bruce even does the "do, do, do.." thing! Kiss influences the Boss?
Best wishes!
Andre
Response from Gene:
Probably.
Hey Gene
I am currently in Leicester Universty (U.K.) studying American Studies, however I am not happy with the course, not because I hate America, it's just because there is too much literiture involved.
Since reading "Your Letters" on you webpage you have encouraged me to be successfull financially in life. I realise that this comes only through hard work which im prepaired to do. However when I looked into changing my degree to Economics they told me I didnt qualify as I was a few points short of the required grades.
Anyway my question is does it really matter what degree you have when you enter the financial world? I will probably change to a History and Politics degree which I do find interesting, however I want to understand financial systems more. I thought my best bet at the moment is to try my best at the history and politics degree, and in the mean time teach myself on finance by reading books.
Also is there any other advice you would give someone in my position.
Best
Matteo Orsi
Response from Gene:
Education is always useful. but so is getting up off your butt and just going for it. It's true in some jobs you need degrees...if you're going into venture capital, hedge funds , banking and so on....you will need to be educated and able to converse in "financial language" (i.e. you need to know what 'GAAP" means and so on...). And, if you want to go into architecture, you need a degree. Doctor? Degree. Teaching? Degree (and I have a BA in Education...). But in most jobs, you don't need a degree..though it's better to be educated than not.
Gene:
Bravo on the Dr. Pepper ad!

Cute Pic with Nick
Not only is Dr. Pepper one powerhouse of an international brand, it is most importantly, my all time favorite drink. It makes an excellent dessert with a splash of vanilla over crushed ice. (Sonic's is great).
I see it is cherry Dr. Pepper there..... (irony).
I bet cherry is really good, too.
What do you think of cherry?
Sweet and yummy Dr. Pepper.
I love Dr. Pepper. It is that good!
Chagrined~ Taryn
Mr. Simmons,
I have recently just purchased the dvd "KISS Rock and roll legends". On this video with your interview with Paul Stanley, you were both asked a question about giving advice.....I think it is very ironic the answer you both gave.... You both said about the same thing... advice is bullshit.... But then I watch your show on A&E and I can't do anything but laugh cause you are always saying to Nick or Sophia, "here is a little advice for ya" ....Just thought I would bring this to your attention.
Your Canadian Fan
Deb
Response from Gene:
There IS a difference. 1. If a stranger asks me for advice, I have no vested interest in his life and therefore, what I say isn't "informed" advice. I don't know the stranger. I don't know his financial situation. 2. As regards my kids, I certainly DO give advice. I have a vested interest and I know them well.
Gene-

Liked your tip about sugar-free popsicles - heard it second hand.
Bomb pops are available sugar-free

Does Gene Simmons have a site looking for older daughter named Lisa?
Response from Gene:
No.
Gene,
with regard to your view that the concert industry should not lower ticket prices... I think you are forgetting a basic economic rule - supply and demand. If we really are headed for the nastiest recession (depression?) in decades, it will likely mean that less people will be able to afford to attend concerts and other entertainment events. The only alternative is to a)lower prices; b)keep prices steady & play 1/3 full venues; or c)play smaller venues. If you think the rock and roll business is immune to an economic downturn you are nuts. We had a bit of a recession in 1982. How were the crowds then?
Regards,
Don
Response from Gene:
You're misinformed. And, before you make sweeping statements, you should educate yourself. Fact: Some bands lower their ticket prices. Some bands keep them the same. Some bands raise. them. That's our free market economy. Who has the ultimate power? You. If you like the pricing, you go. If you don't, you don't.....so, what's your point?
Hey, Gene, love your music!
I was sitting around and had an idea you might be able to use. Have you ever though about a scratch and sniff playboy type magazine? Nice smells like so many women have, coconut or nice perfume etc. I do not think I have ever seen this before. I know you being the great entrepreneur you might be interested in this. Let me know what you think...Greg.
Response from Gene:
Horrible idea.
Hey Gene
"Obsessed" my girlfriend said again!!! I replied, "Obsession is a word that lazy people use to describe the dedicated!!!"
Shit, did that ever go over like a lead balloon!!!
Peter
P.S. I just bought LADIES OF THE NIGHT. Can't wait to read it.
Response from Gene:
I'm sure you agree it's what YOU believe that counts. Not what someone else has to say about it. I'm sure she has things she's obsessed with, that you deem worthless. Let it go. It doesn't matter.
