I don't usually watch reality shows but Gene Simmons Family Jewels is the best! Nick and Sophie seem to be well adjusted children and they don't act spoiled compared to other celebrity offsprings. They are well behaved and well adjusted children.

Hi Mr Simmons,

I was watching one of your shows aired in 2007 when you went to England, I noticed that you were annoyed by people who smoke near you, well when people sit next to me and start smoking I turn my head toward them and start faking a sneeze, most of the time they get up and move, I have had people ask me if I could turn my head, I tell them if I have to breathe what comes out of your lungs, you can wear what comes out of mine.. Just a suggestion, it does work most of the time, I love your family and you crack me up..

Thanks,

Terri Phipps

Response from Gene:

I'm a bit more blunt. I hold my nose and pinch...so the message is clear. Also remember to look straight into the eyes of the smoker, who obviously doesn't mind gambling his life with cancer.

Dear Mr. Simmons,

I just wanted to say thank you for your outspoken love for our country. I was watching “Band of Brothers” the other day and I stumbled across some quotes of yours online. I was almost in tears between watching the story of the 101st Airborne and reading about your unwavering love for our country. Your love for America is so genuine I wish it could be mandatory reading for all kids in high schools (as well as viewing “Band of Brothers” instead of “An Incontinent Truth”).

I work in a TV newsroom were opinions tend to be left-of center. Reading your words has given me the courage to stand my ground and not be silent.

Happy Pre-4th of July Gene!

All the Best to You and Your Family,

Michael S. Cox

Mr. Simmons,

I was a fan from the very beginning. I had ALL of the KISS records including the solo albums. I got married and my new husband, not a KISS fan, convinced me to destroy and trash them all, as they were “devil” music. I stayed married to this man for 17 years in an abusive relationship. I finally divorced his ass. I then met a wonderful man and we lived together for 6 months before marrying. I have told him many times that we should NEVER have gotten married, just lived together but we had pressure from both sides of the family. We weren't setting a good example for our children, etc. I am a grandmother and my son and his girlfriend live together. They are not married and I tell them that they don't have to get married just because of Brooklyn. I support them just living together.

From what I see on your show, I think the relationship that you have with Shannon is wonderful. People have the misconception that marriage makes everything fine. I know first hand from my first marriage that is bull shit. If I outlive my current husband (who is great) I would only live with another man. NEVER again will I marry. Stay smart. Stay single but committed to each other. No ceremony is going to make you love each other more.

I am an educated account manager in a brokerage firm. So, I am not some ignorant hillbilly although I do live in upper East Tennessee. You should come visit. It is beautiful country.

By the way, I don't watch reality shows. They are bullshit. But I like yours because you show the bad as well as the good times. You don't pretend that "It's a Wonderful Life" all of the time.

My favorite episodes were when you got stranded on the way to Las Vegas and Shannon was desperately trying to replace damaged items in your office and Sophie's sweet 16 party. You were a real dad, not worried about what you would look like on TV.

Lisa Conant

Response from Gene:

SUPPOSE MARRIAGE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT. ON THE OTHER HAND, I'M NOT QUALIFIED TO TALK ABOUT IT, SINCE I'VE NEVER BEEN MARRIED. ALL I KNOW, IS THAT WITHIN A SHORT TIME, PEOPLE GET DIVORCED AT AN AVERAGE OF OVER 50% ACROSS AMERICA. IT'S CLOSER TO 70% IN THE LA AREA. ADDITIONALLY, THIS DOES NOT COUNT "DIFFERENT MARRIED RELATIONSHIPS"...I.E. OPEN RELATIONSHIPS, MULTI-PARTNERS AND MARRIAGES WITH MISTRESSES ON THE SIDE....

I DON'T ESPOUSE ANY FORM OF RELATIONSHIP. YOU WILL HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT.

ME? I KNOW HOW I WANT TO LEAD MY LIFE.

AND I DO.

Dear Mr. Simmons,

My sister and I live in Canada, in Hamilton Ontario. We have always watched your program on t.v. and we want to express our gratitude for the decent human being that you are. Along with your family you are role models for the younger generation, and we sure do need this in our society today. We are getting older now and find it difficult to find shows that connect with family values, respect, education and honesty. My son has listened to your music along with his friends and has turned into a loving father and husband, so I strongly feel that you have also been a role model for my family as he has grown. You have a wonderful sense of humour and encourage people to do the best that they can. Along with the wonderful volunteer work that you do , you deserve the best in life along with your family. We just want to say thank you and the best of luck to you.

Take care from your fans,

Joan Walker and Barbara Chapman

I just wanted to say that I have watched your show every season now and have really enjoyed it. I was a Kiss fan way back in 70's (I graduated in 1976) and saw your concert at the Atlanta Stadium when you came to Atlanta.

I admire your work ethic (I too have a very strong work ethic), your values regarding drinking, drugs and smoking and like you, do not drink, smoke or do drugs. You have a wonderful family. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I began watching your show. Shannon is an incredible woman and mom, your children are wonderful and you are a great dad, businessman and entertainer. I would like to meet you some day.

I hope you will have more seasons of Gene Simmons Family Jewels - your support for the military troops, this country, family values are an inspiration. I saw both shows tonight - Stimulus & Slumber party. Regarding Shannon changing her name - I honestly don't believe anyone would think you a hypocrite - I think it would be nice if you married her. It would only add to the person that you already are. You have a wonderful family and I have truly enjoyed watching your wonderful show - thank you for allowing us to see a little bit of your life.

Lisa Moore

Response from Gene:

The answer is No. I don't want to get married. YOU get married. I'm fine.

Dear Mr. Simmons,

My teenagers do not miss an episode of Family Jewels, I decided to watch the shows with them..Well, I do not miss an episode either now, I record every one, because I know once my husband returns from Afghanistan, that he is going to enjoy the shows. I basically wanted to write this note, to give you a big "pat on the back" as well as Thank You, for being who you are.

Although, no family is perfect, I am amazed at how lovely both of your children are. Let's face it, and no disrespect intended, but, you are a Rock n' Rolling machine, known for several habits that I loved during my day, because KISS, is awesome, but, it is not exactly what we would show our teens, as an example all of the time.

However, your family is truly wonderful, and your children, not that my opinion counts, but, they are so down to Earth, and normal. Intelligent, and proud, as well as loving. When we watch the show, it truly is great to see a normal Hollywood family, that taught their children to be good adults, with a real head on their shoulders.

"HATS OFF" to both you, and Miss Tweed, for a fantastic job! Well done!! Love the show, and personally, I think that the show was a great idea, because it not only generates revenue, but, it gets to show the World that even the Famous, can set a good example. Too often, the "famous" are acting ridiculous, and it is a sweet change to see normality within Hollywood.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I look forward to more Family Jewels, take care.

Sincerely,

Gina E

I really, really love your show. It makes me laugh all the time. I have never not watched the show. I love Nick! Sophie is Adorable. I really just love every thing about your show.

I would love to tell you my favourite episode: When Shannon broke her arm and you were in NY. When she was taking the pain killers, i almost killed myself laughing. It was too funny.

Me and my friends from school talk all the time about your show. My friend told me " I can't believe that someone our age can be such a big fan of Gene Simmons." Yes i am only 12 but i absoulotly love your show! I almost cried when i was told i couldnt go to the Edmonton Indy whe you were in Edmonton, Alberta. I was really upset. I really injoy your show and i hope you can right back too me.

From a big fan,

Delaney Kotyk

Hi Gene,

Although you have heard this a million times I am sure. We love watching your show and how your family interacts. You are all so down to earth and "real". I love how commited you are as a father and just how protective of your children you are. You can see how much they truly love and respect you as well. I have a soon to be 5 year old son and we have watched your show while he has been playing in the same room. Well the other day he was saying something to us and at the end of what he said he added "and that is why it's good to be.......ME"...!!!! We got a laugh out of it and thought we would share and maybe bring a smile to your face. Take care and just for the record, as a woman....I don't think any lesser of you because you are sensitive, family oriented, commited to a beautiful, funny woman who is has been a wonderful mother to your children, etc.....in fact I think you are more of a man because of it and those qualities is what truly makes you attractive and admired....!

Sincerely,

Jennifer

Dear Mr. Simmons,

I watch your show every week without fail. I am so amazed of the lifestyle you and your family have and the way you embrace it. Shannon, cleans, cooks, waits on everyone, and let’s not forget fixes cars. Yes you do live a fabulous lifestyle and you have the means to do so. Your show totally cracks me up, you all have a great sense of humor and there is truly so much love in the family.

Shannon has done a remarkable job of capturing the children over the years so that you and thanks to your show,us the viewers, didn’t miss anything. The marriage question is totally stupid. Why people are obsessed with why you don’t get married is totally stupid. It works for the two of you then that is all that matters. Marriage isn’t everything. I’m sure you have had your hard times with the relationship, if I remember correctly there were several mass blow ups that hit the news, but hey you worked through them. Plus the two of you with be together through your golden years. The connection is honestly there, you can see by the body language, and communication the two of you have.

You don’t remind me of an easy person to have to work with, but you have the compassion of a wonderful human being. Thank you for inviting me into your life via your show. And yes Mr. Simmons, I follow the show and I am a small contributor of your wealthJ But you know it is a wonderful show and thank you Mr. Simmons for giving me the entertainment I so enjoy.

Respectfully yours,

Marie Donahue
