Hi
I'm my name is Darla Disner, I am ten years old. I go to Stargate Charter school in thornton Colorado. My Lit. Teacher assigned us a biography project and my dad got me hooked on the idea of using Gene Simmons as my person i want to do a biography on. I was wondering if there was any information about Gene Simmons I should know for my report. The reason why I chose him is because he helped bands like van Halen and Angel get recording contracts. I started the project about a week ago and I am totally hung on the idea of getting to dress up like Gene Simmons. All the other kids in my class have people like Cesar Chaves, and Jane Goodall. I like the idea of GENE SIMMONS! Our "Night of the Notibles" is on MArch 15th or 16th. I would like to hear back from you before then.
Darla Disner
P.S. I wrote to the girl at the LYNN"S KISS DOMINION and she never wrote me back so don't stiff me PLEASE.
Thank you for the kind words. Now, I firmly believe before you do anything, do research. Reading is the best thing for research. Want to find out about me? Read KISS AND MAKEUP. That'll tell you plenty.
Hi Gene,
It's with great pleasure and pride that I'm happy to tell you that today Juan Cruz (my woman's son, 9 years old) has started his musical education with his right foot: he called me at my work to ask me which KISS record I recommend to him to listen to.
I recommended Dressed To Kill to him, mainly because you guys gave a lesson on what's good rock and roll, and because the album ends with Rock And Roll All Nite, a song that my kids already know (and they enjoy a lot, I must add) in its Unplugged version.
And this doesn't ends here... my woman told me that he grabbed the Eric Singer signature sticks that I own and he started to try to mimic the drums on the album thrashing the chairs! And on top of that, once that the CD was over (he even played two times another song, besides RARAN) he watched the KISS Exposed DVD and kept on trying to mimic Peter... While I was talking over the phone with my woman I could listen to Shout It Out Loud in the background!!
What's remarkable out of this, is the fact that this is the first CD and the first band that he choosed to listen by his own decision IN ALL HIS LIFE, so you can tell the importance of this event... I started to listen KISS when I was 10 years old, now I'm 33 years old.
As soon as I get home I'll keep on educating him by hearing Alive! with him, more precisely 100,000 Years, that has that unforgettable drum solo that's burned in every KISS fan's mind.
A last thing, me and my woman put the make-up on Juan Cruz and his little brother Tomas (7 hears old) a year and a half ago, because both kids wanted to look like KISS!!! Check out the pictures that I'm sending you attached with this message... check out little Tomas sticking out his tongue!
>From Buenos Aires, with a chest full of pride, I salute you,
-- Gabriel

Is there any chance that you could sponsor Dave Blaney of Bill Davis Racing in the Nextel Cup for a race or better yet the season?
Response from Gene:
No.
Hi Gene,
I think you are absolutely right about men and women. Why is it that when guys get married they feel like they should stop taking care of themselves (lots of guys get fat and gross), they stop socializing (usually because "wifey" puts a stop to it) and become miserable? Life is too short. I agree that it is usually a case of us not being tortured by the person we're with. Howard Stern said it best when he said, "There's no going forward (after a first date). Everybody talks about the relationship moving forward, but let's face it, when you're dating and romancing and there's no committment, this is when it's the best". When you open your bank account to a woman and allow her to have access, you get what you deserve. I like your style Gene, it's honest and no BS. You make no apologies for being rich and loving it. People who say otherwise are jealous, or full of shit, or both. I'm young, but I'm learning...Your biggest fan in Mass-Mike M. (Keep rocking!!)
Response from Gene:
Yes. What you say is true about me. However, I also believe in the Oath of Marriage (certainly if it involves children). If you decide to take it, I side with women. You should be OBLIGED to stay or at the very least be held responsible for the children you sired -- emotionally and economically.
Hi Gene,
Regarding your record label, have you considered the possiblity of signing Canadian ( or any other country for that matter) bands that are successful up here haven't had a look in down there yet? I recently attended the East Coast Music Awards in St. John's NFLD and heard some fantastic stuff. Bands such as The Trews ( I predict they will hit it everywhere anyway, great rock band) Shaye, who are four hot babes with killer voices and pop tunes, Crush, a great pop rock band, are bands that would catch your ear.
Anyway, have you ever thought of signing bands that are already doing well away from the USA?

Response from Gene:
No.
Your commented than men produce millions of sperm and have more testosterone and that causes men to have multiple partners.
More testosterone and bigger muscles would also mean that men are more likely to get into fights whenever they feel threatened or insulted.
However, all men do not get into fist fights when theratend and/or insulted, or cheat their wives and girlfriends.
Why ?

Response from Gene:
One, is the instinct for reproducing. Either reproduce or become extinct. The other is learned behavior. Some cultures are more physical, some are not. Your logic does not fly.
RE :Limpbizkit have apparently been taken off the impending Australian KISS tour
Dear Gene,
Thanks for listening to us & for respecting your fans. I can't think of any other band that has ever done this !

Gene this is in response to what you stated on the front page of the website and question:
How do we make it work??
1. Accept each other as we are, instead of putting a label on the opposite sex or expecting something for nothing
2. Enjoy each others company
3. Stop putting the other on a "darn' pedestal
4. How about actually talking about things instead of playing games in order to attract the other sex (after a while it gets old--the games I mean)!
5. Lastly, how about just being ourselves for a change! It couldn't hurt!
Well, that's my 2 cents worth! Any response?
Tammie
Response from Gene:
Being ourselves for men means we want as many women as we can get. How about that?
Dear Gene,
Love the website, and read "letters" daily. I heard that Cher may be going out on the road again so my question is, WHY do groups and solo artists even have so called "farewell" tours? So you go out, have sold out shows, then do it all over again in about a year or so? I find it cheezy and in bad taste to say, ok folks this is it, it's over, we're done. Cry wolf then keep coming back. KISS has done it, the Stones have done it, it's not a new thing. So maybe it's more about not needing your fans money, then you break the cycle, the never ending search for your fans to take care of you. (smiling....)) OOps! Some topics are too interchangeable.. Or are they?
Thanks for your time,
Trina
Response from Gene:
Don't worry about it.
Here is my response to Jim, the nitwit who wrote and basically expressed his disappointment that Gene Simmons isn't God. Hey Jim, work your ass off for 35 years or so as Gene has, with little or no time to sleep, millions of people wanting all your time and more importantly, keeping your integrity when everyone basically laughs at what you do. See how far you make it before you get sick like that. Oh, by the way, I got my autographed Gene Simmons photo for free and even took one of the both of us. As Gene puts it, the line of losers forms to the left.......................kindly take your place. I have met Gene on a few occasions in my life and it was just fine by me to get a moment or 2 of his time, get an autograph, a few pictures and to tell him that I really enjoy what he and the rest of Kiss do. He was gracious and spoke highly of his fans. Like he says, without them, he couldn't do what he does. Gene, hats off to ya and best of luck in future endeavors.
Eric
