Day started at 5:30 am. Got up and drove to the set for my first video, FIRESTARTER off of my forthcoming ASSHOLE solo album.
The crew was great. The girls were beautiful. And I looked like a slut. Wait till you see it.

April 23rd -
Today started off with a meeting between myself and a legendary Director/Writer/Producer. He is responsible for some of the most memorable movies of all time. He came over to the house to talk about a project for Sanctuary Pictures. We're talking.
Still too early to discuss specifics or mention the gentleman's name.
Then went to rehearse with my favorite band.
Stayed after rehearsals for German radio interview -- for 26 cities in Germany.
Then went to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, where I introduced Larry King for his Larry King Cardiac Foundation charity. In the audience and saying hello: Montel Williams, Blake Edwards, Julie Andrews and more.
Right afterwards, went downtown LA to be in the followup to GET SHORTY -- entitled BE COOL...starring John Travolta and Uma Thurman. Only appeared in a small scene with: John (who was very nice -- came over and we chatted), Uma, Cedric the Entertainer, Fred Durst.
I was sitting with the four Pussycat Dolls. I hate it when that happens!!!

Thank you all for coming to my ASSHOLE PARTY. Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer, Jenna Jameson, Bill Maher, Miss Tweed, her sis Tracy and the most beautiful women (...natch)...all captured by our A&E television people.
We had fans flying in from Japan, Australia, Germany and Sweden.

We will be holding ASSHOLE PARTIES throughout the upcoming KISS TOUR in the United States -- on the off days. Yes. We will be in your city. We'll have a ball. You'll see.
I will be appearing on NBC's THIRD WATCH tv program Friday night. Check your local listings. On both coasts, I believe the time of the broadcast is 10 pm.
And, before that, I'll be giving the Convocation (the introductory speech) for LARRY KING at his Larry King Cardiac Foundation. TONY BENNET is performing.
Meantime, editing is ongoing on our SPEAKING IN TONGUES dvd -- chronicling my three spoken word appearances in Australia about a year and a half ago.
And, was on JOEY VENDETTA's radio program, here in LA on the newest 103.1 FM. We had a ball. I played tracks from my forthcoming ASSHOLE album, as well as a few snippets of my first signing for the first time anywhere -- BAG.
BAG is a one man band -- writes, sings, plays all the instruments, engineers, produces his own stuff. Can't wait for you all to hear him.

Continuing to do press for the upcoming ASSHOLE PARTY ...April 22nd, at the Key Club -- By Invitation Only (sorry..).
Went to KROQ's KEVIN AND BEAN radio program. QUENTIN TARRANTINO was finishing up being on the air, promoting KILL BILL VOL II (...which I saw and loved. Go see it.). Quentin stopped by on the way out to say hello and chat -- all of which was captured by our A&E camera crew for our upcoming GENE SIMMONS ASSHOLE 24/7 Special.
A&E will also be covering the Asshole party, as well a number of other television outlets/media.

April 17th -
It's been a long day.
Started off early in the morning at our Office Building meeting with television execs about a huge project I'm not at liberty to discuss just yet.
Then worked on another project for the rest of the day.
In the evening, my home was visited by cover girl/tv personality CINDY MARGOLIS and six of her beautiful girl friends -- followed by VH1, who are doing a documentary on Cindy, A&E, who are doing a documentary on me ("Gene Simmons Asshole 24/7") and our new television venture, the name of which I can't mention at this point.
Cindy warmed the cockles of my heart ...she brought over cake. And there is nothing better. Beautiful women -- and cake!!!

The CBS Early Show this morning had a segment on a new exhibit at the Smithsonian American History Museum in Washington, DC. The new exhibit is on lunch boxes. They showed a close-up of a KISS lunchbox (see attached picture). I'm unable to send the video file through my email right now, but I will try to send it later.
April 11th -
Went to Hef's PLAYBOY MANSION with Miss Tweed and my two kids to the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The kids all run around looking for eggs and the winner who comes back with the most eggs, receives big prizes.
Ran into TOMMY LEE and his former missus, FRED DURST, LOU FERRIGNO and lots of beautiful women. Most of them, are now mothers.
Mothers at the mansion (mostly present and former Playboy Playmates), however, don't look like your mother or mine, for that matter.

 "... My name is Pasquale Vari and I am a High School Teacher in Montreal Canada. Recently I organized a KISS video and act for the Sec. V variety show.
The video is about KISSteria sweeping through the halls of our school. The administrators are trying to put a stop to it but are overcome by your music. The 8 minute video consists of various staff members doing their day to day activites but to KISS music and all wearing a KISS t-shirt. Students are not doing their work because they are doing KISS puzzles and we also see staff members singing and dancing to various KISS songs.
The video was played to a packed house of 500 people and when finished myself and 3 other teachers came out on stage in full make-up singing I Was Made For Loving You. It was fun.
I would love for you to see the video. I think you would get a real kick out of it..."
 hello gene. wanted to report a kiss sighting on comedy central. show called Banzai. show had gene Simmons and Shannon tweed . viewers had to guess how long gene would talk to a reporter. she asked what new projects gene had. he talked about being in kiss and putting out condoms and cell phones. when he was done answering the question the reporter ( a female Chinese women) just stood their with the microphone in genes face. gene didn't really know what to do. he asked her if they were done. and she just stood their without saying a thing. Shannon then says to gene we are done and they walk away. it was pretty funny. total time of interview was 58 seconds. they had a timer on bottom of screen. that's the show. you have to guess on how long things will last. usually involving celebrities.
April 10th -
Yesterday, STAR magazine came by to do a story and layout of my home and how I do business. Story will appear in an issue or two.
Then, went down to the edit bay where SPEAKING IN TONGUES dvd (my forthcoming project that entails the three or four public speaking/lectures I gave in Australia about a year and a half ago. It will feature some of my wacky notions about life as we know it, as well as some great fan shots/questions and of course, beautiful girls.
Today, the film crew came over to my home to do my own version of CRIBS, so we can include the footage in the dvd without having a discussion with VH1 or anyone else.
Also, as a side bar, you should know that SPEAKING IN TONGUES will also be featuring snippets of some never before heard songs I've had in my vaults.
Those songs and more will appear next year in my forthcoming GENE SIMMONS BOXSET 100 (as in 100 songs)...
Adam Rifkin, who directed/wrote MOUSEHUNT, TOY SOLDIERS, DETROIT ROCK CITY came by to pitch SANCTUARY PICTURES (that's the name of our new motion picture company, comprising of myself, Rich Abramson and Allan Brown) his new project, which has SNOOP DOG attached to star. More on this soon.

 hi Gene, we've met anumber of times, but NO, not under the sheets... yet! so you've been talking about this great role you are playing on the Third Watch finale and you keep saying it's going to air in JUNE. I'm sure you know that seaosn finales are in May, during sweeps, and I contacted an NBC station I deal with to find out the correct date for the finale... I've been informed that it will air on Friday, May 7th at 10pm (EST). However, I don't know if this is the first or second part of the arc as you stated- it's possible that 5/7 is the true season finale with you in it, and it could pick up again with the 2nd part in September.
I can't wait to see you as a bad guy on screen again... I've always thought you did a great job in your earlier roles, especially as "Velvet" in Never Too Young to Die! lol Looking forward to your stage return home this summer! love ya! :-X

I finished my two episode story arc on NBC's THIRD WATCH crime drama. I play crime boss Donald Mann. It'll be on the air sometime in June. This is a quality show and I'm happy to have been asked to appear in it. The character may be a continuing one. We will see.
PEOPLE magazine came by to do an interview on the set.
And today, April the 6th, I was interviewed by BILLBOARD, the music industry trade publication.

I finished mastering ASSHOLE (Yes!!! It IS the title of my solo album.) on Sunday the 4th of April. Thank you Roger Lian for mastering with me on a Sunday at Masterdisc in NYC. You could have been home dipping chips and watching the ball game, but you rose to the challenge.
No lazy people around here!!!
My forthcoming ASSHOLE album contains 13 songs. I will be listing them shortly. I'll also be including TWO ADDITIONAL songs for the Japanese market only. The Japanese do this so that they can tell the difference between Japanese produced goods and imports, which they prefer not dealing with.
DAVID LA CHAPPELLE, the famed fotog, shot the album cover. When you see it, you'll understand how much fun my life is. I was surrounded by beautiful women -- of all sizes and shapes -- all of them beautiful.
My cover version of Prodigy's FIRESTARTER (produced by the Overseer) features the powerful and attractive DAVE NAVARRO on guitar. Firestarter is to be the first single!!! We are shooting the video this coming weekend in LA. We have TWO DIRECTORS working on this one!!! MARK KLASFELD and TONY PEROSSIAN. The concept promises to be lots of fun (and yes, it will include lots of desireable flesh...what else)...
The following day, I join my bandmates in KISS, as we start rehearsing for our upcoming AUSTRALIA/JAPANESE/AMERICAN tour. I can't wait to get out there...the first leg, consisting of 60 shows with our friends AEROSMITH was great fun and the second leg promises to be no less...
Today, I go to work on the set of NBC's crime drama THIRD WATCH, playing Donald Mann, crime lord. I always seem to get offers to play bad guys. Maybe it's because I don't look Swiss....
WE ARE GOING TO BE HAVING ASSHOLE PARTIES IN AS MANY CITIES AS POSSIBLE. Here's the deal. When we come to your town, I will be taking over a local club, for a special ASSHOLE party.
Of course, you can only attend if you're a real asshole.
Once inside the party, you will be given a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY, certifying that you are, indeed a real asshole.
This is being done as a public service in case any of your friends bother to ask "..what're you...some kind of asshole?" To which you can reply, "..why as a matter of fact, I AM an asshole. See? It says so right here. THIS IS TO CERTIFY I AM A REAL ASSHOLE."

The 1st ASSHOLE PARTY IN THE WORLD, will be held April 22nd at the KEY CLUB in Los Angeles, because there are more assholes per square inch in Los Angeles than anywhere else in the world. Need you ask?

A&E has been filming me for a GENE SIMMONS ASSHOLE 24/7 TV Special and will be covering the VIDEO SHOOT as well as our PARTY.

Finally back in the US after my Euro trip. Thanks to all my partners at the Sanctuary Group who supported.
I get an afternoon off (to collapse and sleep) and then early tomorrow morning, MASTER MY ALBUM. Mastering is the last step in the recording process. It's the last chance an artist has to "beef up" songs before you hear them.
Then, on Monday the 5th, I go to work on the THIRD WATCH set. And this time, the crime lord I play, doesn't die!!! So far, every bad guy I've ever played had to meet his maker. This is a very well written/directed show. It should be on by June.
