'My Dad the Rockstar'

Epiphone Guitar, Nickelodeon Television, and Company of Kids have partnered on a special promotion for an exciting DVD launch in the Netherlands of "My Dad The Rockstar", an animated television series in which a seven-foot-tall world famous rock star suddenly decides to go into semi-retirement, and moves his family to a house in the suburbs of Silent Springs. Willy, Rock Zilla' s 12-year-old son has only known life in the rock star world, living out of a suitcase, on tour buses and hotels. His lack of exposure to "ordinary life" brings him a whole lot of unexpected challenges living in this small town.
Epiphone will produce a limited amount of "My Dad the Rockstar" Les Paul Special II Guitars featuring the main character "Rock Zilla". "My Dad the Rockstar" cartoon series was created by legendary KISS bassist Gene Simmons and stems from Simmons own family life as a heavy metal dad. The Dutch version of this cartoon series features voice over by popular singer/guitarist Barry Hay from GOLDEN EARRING as the main character, "Rock Zilla".
"We are very excited to be partnering with Nickelodeon on such an inventive promotion," said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Guitar. "The legendary music of Gene Simmons and the sounds of our Les Paul guitar are the perfect match for ' My Dad the Rockstar' ."

Hi Gene,
On closing night of our theatre production, "The Miss Firecracker Contest", we, the cast, decided to spice up the show a bit. In a scene calling for a lovely Mardi Gras mask to be presented as a gift, we replaced it with the infamous paper mache Gene Simmons mask (created by my 15 year old brother, Travis Beer, in his high school art class). It took all of our power as actors to stay in character as we unveiled The Demon. The audience reaction was explosive! And the line following the mask, "I just saw it and thought of you," gave a much deeper meaning and humor to those words.
We consider you an honorary cast member for the evening.

 I was eating my dinner at one of the dining facilities here on Ft. Gordon when I noticed your show "My Dad the Rock Star" was on the dining hall's T.V.s. It was my first time ever seeing it. I noticed most of the troops stopped eating (rare for Soldiers) and enjoyed the show. I'm not going to KISS your ass, but it was an entertaining show.

 Not even two minutes into Wednesday night's results show for American Idol, you and KISS were made reference to!
Ryan Seacrest asked contestant Constantine Maroulis why he "stuck" his tongue out on the previous night's show during his live performance? Maroulis replied that it was "maybe some sort of KISS thing surfacing", Seacrest remarked with..."kind of a Gene Simmons thing going on".
Again, proof, you and the hottest band in the world are "omniscient"!

 just saw a snippett on CNN about your new show "ROCK SCHOOL" The attractive newsanchor referred to you as DR. LOVE, and then said something that made my jaw drop. She said that you were tryng to "soften" up your image???!!!! HUH, the big bad DEMON----soft???? Even the media doesn't get it Gene. You really are a genius when it comes to promotion and marketing. Keep rockin' and rollin', and for goodness sake, put together a KISS album and start touring already!!!!!! KISSRMYSGT
April 11th -
 We have been shooting a REALITY TELEVISION SHOW for our good friends at A&E tv. The show follows me around the world in my comings and going and includes my two midgets, Soph and Nick, as well as the ever beautiful and forever charming Shannon (to whom I have been happily unmarried for almost 22 years!!!).
A&E is the same place we did our GENE SIMMONS BIO 24/7 Special last year. I'm sure they will rebroadcast the Special soon, in case you missed it.
My partner, Leslie Greif and his group, especially the powerful and attractive Adam (who actually babysits the entire project), have been working their tails off. I saw a rough of the show and it's sweet (sweet as in cool).
We're all having a great time doing this show together. They followed me to Las Vegas, where I attended the Computer Show at the Convention Center and the AVN Awards, where I was lucky to find myself escorting the beautiful Taylor Wayne. And, they also came with me to New Orleans for the Mardi Gras -- covering the madness of the city and climbing up with me on my float, which paraded throughout the city.
No air date yet. Stay tuned.
 Early Summer will also see the VH1 broadcast of my UK Ch. 4 series, ROCK SCHOOL, wherein I try to teach 13 year old Edwardian schooled young people how to (you guessed it) rock!!!. The first six episodes of the series will be broadcast first, followed by another 6 episodes in early Fall.
So, if you're all keeping track:
MY DAD THE ROCK STAR -- Nickleodeon TV.
MR. ROMANCE -- Oxygen TV.
ROCK SCHOOL -- VH1.
GENE SIMMONS FAMILY JEWELS -- A&E.
And yes, all is well in the band I'm proud to be in. KISS is happier and more together than I've seen it in decades. We WILL do a proper tour soon. Stay tuned to KISSONLINE.COM for details.

 Happy to report for all you MY DAD THE ROCK STAR fans, Nickleodeon TV is now running our show TWICE A DAY...EVERY DAY. Watch it at 7:00 am and then at 5:30 pm. Watch Willie and the crew. It's cool.

 with all the reality shows on TV, have any ideas come to mind on a KISS/Gene Simmons Reality type television show?? Saw you on The Apprentice and it looks like you would be a PowerHouse on a TV Show. Seems like nowdays everyone likes reality shows and they seem like a huge marketing/profit opportunity. Thanks

Last night in Winnipeg,Canada, the annual Juno Awards were hosted by Canadian comedian Brent Butt. The Canadian version of the AMA's!
The host came out at the start of the show wearing "his version" of a KISS costume!Complete with platform (knee-high) boots, silver, and leather.
He mentioned that he wanted to come out looking like KISS. That he "kinda" did...

 I just watched a show called, "How Do I Look?" It's hosted by Finola Hughes. Just another reality show about changing someone's wardrobe and look. This woman was the target, and her two friends and husband were the ones giving her a new look. In the beginning they throw out pieces of her wardrobe in a bag. They tell her why they don't like them. Her husband through out a pair of platform black boots. The woman was very upset, they were her favorite pair. The three left the room and Finola was left to speak to the woman. The woman was almost in tears over the boots. Finola turned to her and said, " You know we had to get rid of the Gene Simmons boots."

I was watching a video of Toby Keith and his daughter singing Mockinbird on AOL Music and Krystal(his daughter) was wearing a KISS concert shirt. I have attached a picture of them singing. I always enjoy seeing KISS in unexpected places. I can't wait to see you back here in Ohio. Hope it is soon.
