In an exclusive chat with Glasgow Live, Gene tells us what to expect at tonight’s Hydro gig – and when Kiss are likely to hang up the platform boots.

“We’re not going to be able to do this into our 70s – and I’m 67 now. But we’ll do it for a few more years and, when we think it’s time to go, we’ll go.”

He may have walked into the interview with a roaring “gie it laldy” to please the Glasgow journalists – but there’s an timeframe on Gene Simmons’ flamboyant stage persona.

After 44 years on the stage – and in seven inch platform heels, no less – he says Kiss can’t last forever.

Still, the frontman of the “hardest working band in show business” has a show to put on in Glasgow tonight – and it’s a city the band has many fond memories of already.

Speaking exclusively to Glasgow Live ahead of a sold out gig at the SSE Hydro , Gene welled with pride talking about the legendary – and often make up-covered – Glasgow fans.
